Marcus Rashford can secure dream Arsenal shirt number if he completes Man Utd transfer
Marcus Rashford wants out of Manchester United and Arsenal could be the perfect move. Rashford has gone on the record admitting that he is ready to quit Old Trafford in search of a "new challenge".
Speaking to Henry Winter, Rashford thinks it is time to end his 20-year association with the Red Devils, having fallen out of favour first under Erik ten Hag and now under Ruben Amorim too. The England striker was left out of the matchday squad entirely for the Manchester Derby at the weekend.
In the interview, Rashford said: "For me, personally, I think I'm ready for a new challenge and the next steps."

Those next steps could be to north London and the Emirates Stadium. Although a transfer fee and his wages could prove to be a stumbling block in any negotiations.
Rashford's current United contract runs until 2028, giving United all the power when it comes to transfer talks, while Rashford is reportedly earning £315,000 per week at Old Trafford, giving him all the power in contract talks with a new club, should it get to that stage.
Reports have suggested United could be willing to accept a fee in the region of £40million, which may tempt Arsenal into making an offer, but £315,000 per week may prove difficult for the Gunners to stomach for someone they are taking a gamble on.
Arsenal have been linked with Rashford a number of times in the past and the stars may finally be aligning for a deal to be struck, if they can get past the financial issues. And were he to make the move to the Emirates Stadium to become the first January signing, Rashford would get his dream shirt number too.
Rashford has worn the No.10 shirt at Old Trafford for the last seven seasons, wearing 19 before that. The No.10 jersey at Arsenal was vacated at the beginning of this season when Emile Smith Rowe left in a £35million deal to join Fulham.
Should Rashford depart Old Trafford and move to the red half of north London, you would expect him to secure the No.10 shirt and carry on his tradition in red.
