Marcus Rashford speaks out on Aston Villa transfer and sends Man United message
Marcus Rashford admits it was an easy decision to say yes to Aston Villa.
The 27-year-old has joined Unai Emery’s side on an initial loan deal from Manchester United, which could become permanent in the summer for £40m. Villa will pay most of the forward’s £325,000-a-week wages during his spell until June.
After completing his medical and signing his contract with Villa, Rashford took to Instagram and posted a couple of pictures alongside a message which reads: “I would like to thank Manchester United and Aston Villa for making this loan deal happen.

“I was lucky to have a few clubs approach me but Aston Villa was an easy decision - I really admire the way that Aston Villa have been playing this season, and the managers’ ambitions. I just want to play football and am excited to get started. I wish everyone at Manchester United all the best for the rest of the season.”
Rashford becomes Villa's third signing of the winter window after Donyell Malen joined from Borussia Dortmund for £20m and Andres Garcia signed on from Levante for £6m. Villa are also set to confirm the loan capture of Marco Asensio from Paris Saint-Germain.
They are working to sign a defender after selling Diego Carlos to Fenerbahce for £8.5m. The Brazilian followed Jaden Philogene out the door, while Jhon Duran left to Al-Nassr for £65m last week.
