Marcus Rashford supported by nine players as Manchester United absence continues
Marcus Rashford appears to have plenty of support from his Manchester United teammates judging by his latest post on Instagram.
The Reds academy graduate has not featured for Ruben Amorim's side since the 2-1 win over Viktoria Plzen in the Europa League on December 12. The forward was subsequently left out of four consecutive first-team squads before being selected for Monday's defeat to Newcastle United.
Rashford's absence came amid comments earlier last month that he was "ready for a new challenge and the next steps" in an interview with Henry Winter.
The 27-year-old has now spoken again with the January transfer window open. Sharing an image on New Year's Eve of him smiling in front of a framed United shirt, he wrote: “Happy New Years. May 2025 bring you all happiness,” alongside a red heart emoji.

And 10 United players in total have liked Rashford's post. Amad Diallo, Anthony, Mason Mount, Leny Yoro, Bruno Fernandes, Manuel Ugarte, Andre Onana, Matthijs de Ligt and Ethan Wheatley have all shown their support.
While Rashford was included in the squad against Newcastle, he did not play a single minute. Opening up on that decision, Amorim said: "I think about the team. You think a lot about Marcus. I think about the team. When I’m there I’m not making a point. I just want to win the game.
"And you can feel it – I’m talking about the idea and the fight for relegation. Do I want to make a point during a game? No, I just want to win the game."
