Marcus Rashford transfer latest as medical plan emerges amid Manchester United Jamie Gittens links
The latest instalment in the Marcus Rashford transfer saga has Borussia Dortmund the new favourites to sign the England international.
According to BILD, Dortmund are leading the race to sign Rashford. AC Milan were heavily rumoured to sign the forward, but the Italian side now look out of the fight. It is reported that if discussions are held quickly, Rashford could be in Germany for a medical as early as Thursday.
The Bundesliga side have just recently sold winger Donyell Malen to Aston Villa for a little over £20m. Dortmund are said to be looking at reinvesting a large chunk of this money which would certainly help in paying for Rashford's wages.

The story with Dortmund is not just about selling a player. United are also in a transfer battle of their own as they are eyeing up 20-year-old Englishman Jamie Gittens, according to reports.
Originally, it was Chelsea and United who were considering a move to sign the winger. However, social media transfer guru Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Liverpool have joined in.
The Merseyside team are said to have sent scouts out to Germany to watch Gittens.
One transfer move which United have reportedly backed out of is the signing of PSG left-back Nuno Mendes. Not only is Luke Shaw still experiencing constant injuries, but the Portuguese manager's formation requires a left-back with particular skills in positioning and movement.
Although Mendes would do well slotting into that position, The Independent have said that United are not willing to pay the whopping £51m price tag that Mendes is claimed to be worth.
Although one left-back has now dropped off the United transfer list, another one has re-emerged. Rumours have begun circulating again that Wolves' Rayan Ait-Nouri is of particular interest.
His ability to play in the wing-back position down the left would fit Amorim's dynamic to a tee. The Sun had claimed in November that the Algerian player was 'high on the wish-list' of Amorim. He will be in action against Chelsea tonight.
