Marcus Rashford transfer value plummets as Manchester United handed £45m reality
Manchester United star players have seen major drops in transfer value as Ruben Amorim's side endure a torrid Premier League season.
The Portuguese manager's honeymoon period at Old Trafford has been and gone; some United fans may even argue he never had one. Although a couple of players have shone in Amorim's new system, many others have failed to perform.
The 13-time Premier League winners have lost three games in a row in all competitions. They have scored no goals in their last two Premier League games against Bournemouth and Wolves, conceding five goals across those games.

With Amorim looking at the transfer window as an opportunity to bolster his squad, he may not get the money expected if he sells some key players. According to transfermarkt, United's three most valuable players have all lost millions of pounds worth of value.
United academy graduate Marcus Rashford is among those being linked with a move away from Old Trafford. The England international who earns £300k-a-week has not featured in Amorim's squad since December 12th. At his peak, he was market value sat in the region of £70m, however, a transfer deal would likely have grabbed even more. Now, his value sits at £45m - a dramatic fall from grace.
Rasmus Hojlund, who cost £72million, has lost a further £4m worth of market value. Following his previous price decreases, this puts the Danish striker at just under £50m - a shocking loss of £22m. Captain Bruno Fernandes is now worth around £45m after a stunning price fall of over £8m.
As mentioned before, some players have shone during a dark time at United. It is down the right-hand side of the field where Noussair Mazraoui and Amad Diallo have shone.
Amad's 90th minute winner at the Etihad Stadium was a priceless moment, but all his other stellar performances under Amorim have boosted his price tag by almost £2.5m. The Portuguese boss will surely be looking at developing the youngster into a superstar.
Supporting Amad on the field has been Moroccan ace Mazraoui. The 27-year-old has given himself a market value boost of £1.5m. His ability to drop back to a defensive role whilst also providing an attacking outlet makes him an important component under Amorim.
Aside from these two, a good chunk of the starting players have seen a decrease in value. Other United stars who have gown down are Matthjis de Ligt, Joshua Zirkzee and Mason Mount.
