Marcus Rashford: 'I'm a United fan ... I understand how you're feeling'
Manchester United striker Marcus Rashford has told the club’s fans he is one of them and understands their frustrations following Wednesday’s derby defeat to Premier League leaders Manchester City.

Tweeting the morning after United’s latest defeat, Rashford said: “Tough period for us at the moment and as a United fan myself I understand how you’re feeling. We’ve shown how we can play, we need to get back to doing what we know we can do! @Man Utd.”
The England international was born and grew up in Manchester and has been at the club since the age of seven.
The 21-year-old was praised after the game with Manchester City for standing up in front of the world’s media following the defeat.

Looking visibly downbeat following the loss, United’s seventh in their last nine games, Rashford said that the players needed to work harder for the club badge.
“Bare minimum it should be to work hard for the badge, for the supporters and just for the club, but important to do it for yourself as well”, Rashford told Sky Sports.
“It’s been a tough road to get where we were, we were never expected to be in this position.”

United have lost their last three games in all competitions without scoring and have only won two of their last nine matches in all competitions, following a run of six wins on the bounce at the start of Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s reign in charge of the Old Trafford club.
Rashford added: “To not be putting in the performances we were it’s disappointing for the players and the last couple of weeks we know what’s been going wrong and it’s just a matter of putting it back how it was.”
The Red Devils sit sixth in the Premier League table, three points off Chelsea, who they take on next in a must win game on Sunday.
They then face already-relegated Huddersfield Town and relegation-threatened Cardiff City.
