Martin Dubravka Newcastle transfer twist after emotional Arsenal 'farewell'
NEWCASTLE United are trying to convince Martin Dubravka to turn his back on a move to Saudi Arabia this month and stay at St James' Park.
Dubravka looked set for the exit door after what appeared to be an emotional farewell to Newcastle's fans following Tuesday night's Carabao Cup semi-final first leg win at Arsenal.
But boss Eddie Howe then confirmed his wish was for Dubravka to stay at Newcastle. His current deal is due to expire in the summer and the 36-year-old has the chance to sign a lucrative contract with Al-Shabab this month.
But Howe is desperate to keep Dubvravka and is said to have the support of Newcastle's recruitment bosses.

Dubravka has played a pivotal role in Newcastle's resurgence in recent weeks, with the keeper enjoying an impressive spell in the side in the absence of Nick Pope, who will be available to return before the end of the month.
Howe said this week: “He’s playing very, very well, and certainly from my side, I wouldn’t want to lose him at all.
"But I genuinely know nothing. I’ve been head down, into the game. I’m sure I’ll speak to Paul (Mitchell, sporting director) at some stage.”
