Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount has not let his latest injury stop him from relishing the Reds' improved performances as he celebrated the FA Cup victory over Arsenal on social media.

The former Chelsea man has suffered a number of injuries since making the switch from Stamford Bridge at the start of last season. As a result, Mount has made just 32 appearances for United across all competitions with a lot of those coming off the substitute bench.

Mount's latest injury was suffered during the victory over Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium last month. With the ball in play, the midfielder dropped to the deck having clearly suffered a muscular injury to his thigh.

Updating the media on his fitness, Ruben Amorim explained: "[He will be out for] Several weeks. I don't know the exact date, but it's going to be for long and that's it.

"That's part of football, you continue." With Mount out, he was forced to watch Sunday's latest triumph over Arsenal from the comfort of his home.

United, with ten men, were taken all the way to penalties by the Gunners as a resolute defensive display frustrated the North London club.

The Reds' persistent defending eventually offered reward for Amorim's men as Joshua Zirkzee secured the victory from the spot as they won 5-3 in the shootout.

On Monday, Mount was still delighted by his teammates' display as he hailed their success on social media.

Posting to his Instagram story, the midfielder wrote: "Still buzzing about this game," while sharing a snap of his teammates celebrating at the Emirates Stadium.
