Is Matheus Cunha available for Wolves vs Man United? FA deadline and Premier League response
Manchester United will be looking to get back to winning ways when they travel to Wolves on Boxing Day. Ruben Amorim's side were beaten 3-0 by Bournemouth on Sunday, representing their seventh Premier League defeat of the season and sit 13th in the table on Christmas Day.
Goals from Dean Huijsen, Justin Kluivert and Antoine Semenyo condemned United to a dismal defeat and their second in three days after losing 4-3 at Tottenham. Amorim, who was appointed as Erik ten Hag's permanent successor last month, has now won just four of his nine matches in charge.
Next up for United is a trip to Molineux to face Wolves, who will be rejuvenated after a confidence-boosting 3-0 win over relegation rivals Leicester in Vitor Pereira's first game at the helm. Goncalo Guedes, Rodrigo Gomes and Matheus Cunha scored as Wolves moved to within just two points of safety.

Cunha availability
Is Matheus Cunha available for United's trip to Wolves? At the moment, the Brazilian is set to play despite being charged by the Football Association following a heated altercation with an Ipswich staff member at the end of their 2-1 defeat earlier this month.
Cunha, who has been one of Wolves' star performers this season, struck a member of the Ipswich coaching team and removed glasses from another staff member's face. The FA charged Cunha with misconduct last Tuesday and had until Thursday to respond.
That deadline passed but Wolves heard nothing from the Premier League or the FA, so Cunha remained available for the trip to Leicester. As the relevant bodies haven't said anything back, Cunha is still free to be involved for Wolves in their upcoming fixtures unless told otherwise.
MEN says: Cunha has been sensational for Wolves this season. He has scored in each of his last two appearances and could be crucial against Manchester United on Boxing Day. If Wolves are without Cunha, I feel as though their team significantly weakens and they lost both some creativity and scoring ability in attack.
New Mount timeline
Manchester United midfielder Mason Mount could miss until March with a serious leg injury, according to talkSPORT. Ruben Amorim has confirmed that the England star is set for a long spell on the sidelines, but the Radio station has since revealed that he would now be out for over two months.
Mount, who joined United from Chelsea for a fee rising up to £60million in summer 2023, has struggled for form and fitness since his move to Old Trafford. He started the win over Manchester City earlier this month before going off before half-time with an issue that is going to keep him out for a sustained period.
MEN says: It's a massive blow for Mason Mount himself, first of all. He started to come into a bit of form under Amorim but this is a huge setback in his progress, it's safe to say.
As for United, they have lost a player that can play in a number of positions, and with United set for another busy fixture schedule after Christmas, he might have been needed.
