Matheus Cunha shares huge announcement just before Arsenal game as private conversation revealed
Matheus Cunha and his wife, Gabriela Nogueira da Cunha, have announced she is pregnant with their second child. The announcement, which was made on social media, comes just hours before Arsenal take on Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Cunha is the subject of significant interest this winter transfer window, with the Gunners said to be one of those clubs. But after being suspended at the start of this month, the forward is back in the Wolves team and expected to play against Mikel Arteta's side at Molineux this afternoon.
Wolves head coach Vitor Pereira acknowledged as much in his pre-match press conference after previously criticising the player's body language during their last match against Chelsea. He said: "I have had a conversation with him, and he is very committed to us.

"He never asked me to leave the club. He wants to help the team, be with us, to be with us tomorrow to try and win the game.
"He knows what I want from him as a captain. We had a conversation, and everything is solid; he's ready for the game.
"He's my player, he's not for sale, this is information from the club. He's committed to us and what we need from him. He's an important player for us."
Hours after those comments, Cunha and his wife shared their announcement. In an Instagram post shared by both on Friday night, they are holding a sonogram together. A second photo also shows Gabriela holding an ultrasound image in one hand with a pregnancy test in the other.
"And now we're four," she captioned the post, punctating with a white heart emoji before adding: "Endlessly grateful to God for being so blessed."
Their first child, Levi, was born in May 2020. He was born in Berlin while Cunha played for Hertha before the family moved to Madrid the following year when Atletico signed the forward 18 months before he first joined Wolves.
