Matheus Cunha stance set out as manager responds to Nottingham Forest transfer talk
Boss Vitor Pereira has been very clear that Wolverhampton Wanderers will not sell Matheus Cunha in the January transfer window amid reports of Nottingham Forest being keen.
The Reds have been linked with the Wolves ace, with claims a club-record bid could be in the offing. It is understood any deal is unlikely to happen as things stand, and Pereira has firmly outlined the Midlands side’s stance.
Arsenal have also been credited with an interest in £60 million-rated Cunha. However, his club insist he is going nowhere before the February 3 deadline.

"He knows what I want from him as a captain. Everything is sorted, he’s ready and committed for the game and to help the team,” Pereira said in his pre-match press conference.
"He's my player. I think he's not for sale. He's committed to us and what we need from him.
"He's never asked me to leave the club. He wants to help the team and be with us to try and win the game."
Gunners manager Mikel Arteta has also been asked about Cunha ahead of his team being set to come up against the player in Saturday’s fixture at Molineux. The Spaniard was coy on the subject.
"I prefer not to talk about individuals, I prefer to talk about the collective and they have a lot of talent," Arteta responded (via Football.London).
On Thursday, Forest head coach Nuno Espirito Santo was quizzed on being linked with Cunha. He said: “I don’t know anything about that. How can I comment about that? I’m so sorry to disappoint you.”
Recruiting a striker is the priority for the Reds in the final week of the window. They have already had one bid turned down for Brentford’s Yoane Wissa and look set to try their luck again.
