Mathys Tel to Arsenal transfer answer already given as Bayern Munich stance clear amid Chelsea links
Transfer deadline day this January window is now one week away, leaving Arsenal with little time to conduct whatever business they desire.
As of yet the Gunners are yet to announce any deals, whether that be incomings or outgoings, though it is the former that has had the most emphasis during the recent weeks of active business.
Injuries have left an attacking department already lacking inspiration with few options remaining. Since, Mikel Arteta has been outspoken about internal discussions to change this.

"My opinion is clear, we lost two very important players in Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Jesus so we lack goals, we lack people, we lack options in the front line, it's clear.
"If we can get the right player, that's what we're actively looking at. Any player? No. Someone that makes us better and has an impact on the team. We need some help, we're very short already but the team is coping. We have to do what is right for the club."
One unspoken option up until now is the prodigy Mathys Tel of Bayern Munich. The teenager is understudy to Harry Kane and therefore lacks minutes and tentative talk online has linked the Gunners with a move for him again having been a reported target a year ago.
Previously linked to Arsenal, here football.london discusses what has been said about Tel.
Tel's agent talks
Before the summer 2024 transfer window opened, Tel's agent, Gadiri Camara, commented on the possibility of the 19-year-old leaving Bayern Munich for a new challenge.
Uncertainty loomed at the time as manager Thomas Tuchel was on his way out of the club.
"Sometimes you just have to have the feeling that you are on the same path. We will see very soon, but I am confident. But if not, we have to consider all options, because Mathys knows that he is valuable and will be a top player," they said via BILD.
football.london says: Arsenal have worked themselves into their current predicament by selling youthful, talented strikers in Folarin Balogun and Eddie Nketiah. While signing a goalscorer in their prime is of most importance, signing the name of tomorrow is also another option that should be considered as well as depth is the issue. Tel, it can be confidently said based on his Bundesliga exploits, can be that name. His situation has changed in almost a year, though is seemingly underused and a move to a top Premier League club could sway him.
Bayern Munich latest
Most recently, Bayern Munich sporting director Christoph Freund commented on Tel's future. He did so under the pressure of Chelsea's recent interest in the Frenchman.
"Mathys Tel is a very important player for us, we are in very good contact because he's a great talent and should play an important role for us."
"We have had many discussions. Our clear goal is for Mathys to make his breakthrough with us. We are very happy with our squad, quality and quantity wise. Of course, if a player is unhappy, we can talk about it. Our clear plan with Mathys is for him to make his breakthrough here."
football.london says: Since that statement, t
he striker has only played 45 minutes of football. Bayern have played four matches. If Tel wants an immediate pathway into first-team football, he is going to have to look elsewhere. On paper, he isn't going to get that at a much higher level anywhere else than the Emirates Stadium. They are about the only club without a strong No.9.
