Mathys Tel sparks transfer frenzy as Arsenal, Chelsea and Tottenham decisions made
Bayern Munich star Mathys Tel has received countless pleas to stay at the club despite his plans to transfer this window. The 19-year-old is set to depart after two-and-a-half years in Bavaria.
Among the interested teams are Chelsea, Arsenal, and Tottenham, whilst Manchester United remain in the mix as well. Tel is thought to have changed his stance after going three Bundesliga matches without an appearance for Vincent Kompany.
He did start Wednesday night's Champions League clash at home to Slovan Bratislava but was taken off just after the hour mark. A deal to see him move on from Bayern is expected before Monday's February 3 deadline.

Tel is a popular and highly rated figure in Germany, though, and as a talented young player there is sadness in the fanbase that he has chosen to leave. With seven goals and five assists from just over 1,000 league minutes last season, he has shown glimpses of why Bayern were so keen to snap him up for Rennes in 2022 in the first place.
Despite the transfer speculation, Tel has been going about his business as usual. Posting on Instagram on Tuesday - the same day the news came through that he had made a U-turn and decided to leave Bayern - he uploaded a series of images of his recent activities. Writing "Some vibes [radio emoji]", Tel's replies tell the full story.
Flooded with Bayern fans pleading for him to stay - or with others asking for him to go on loan just for six months before returning - the feelings are clear. "Please Stay", one user says.." Just a Loan, but never leave us Mathys!! Munich loves you. Your time will come! [red heart emoji]".
There are then attempts from supporters from the various interested clubs to tempt him into a move. One Chelsea fan simply posted the club's badge in the replies, whilst Tottenham and United fans also flocked to tell him where to go.
All four teams are hoping to get the versatile attacker in until at least the end of the season. Bayern and Tel are thought to be open to a host of different options including a permanent sale, loan with an obligation to buy, and just a six month temporary loan as well.
