Met Office weather warning issued ahead of Aston Villa vs West Ham Premier League clash
Aston Villa will look to bounce back from Tuesday's defeat at Monaco when they host West Ham on Sunday (kick-off: 4:30pm).
Unai Emery's team were below their best at the Stade Louis II in midweek, leaving their automatic qualification hopes for the Champions League knockouts in danger. Villa sit ninth in the League Phase table and will have to navigate a two-legged playoff tie next month if they are to progress, as it stands.
Attention must now swiftly turn back towards the Premier League as they continue their top-four push, which would guarantee a place in Europe's elite competition next season. Emery's side currently sit eighth in the top-flight table, just four points off fourth-placed Chelsea.

However, there may be a slight concern that the match at Villa Park against West Ham could be postponed. The Met Office have issued a yellow weather warning between Sunday and Monday for the West Midlands.
"Spells of heavy rain may lead to some local flooding during Sunday and Monday," they said. It adds that there is "a slight chance of power cuts."
The game will go ahead as it stands and is unlikely to be postponed. However, several fixtures across English football have been called off this season due to inclement weather.
December's Merseyside derby between Liverpool and Everton at Goodison Park was the highest-profile game to be postponed due to Storm Darragh. The fixture has since been rearranged for Wednesday, February 12 (kick-off: 7:30pm).
Villa will be keen not to have any postponements, with the Villans battling on three fronts this season. Emery's team will face Tottenham in the FA Cup fourth round next month while they also continue to juggle their league and European commitments.
