Michael Conlan has set his sights on making "some history" after announcing a new career move. The Belfast boxer has launched Conlan Boxing Management, a 'boutique' company that will see the former Olympian guide the careers of some emerging fighters.

Conlan recently announced he was stepping away from Conlan Boxing, the promotional business he co-founded with his brother Jamie three years ago.

The 33-year-old insisted he remained committed to managing the "next generation of boxing talent" under his own firm.

And now he has confirmed news of that move.

He said on social media: "Thrilled to share that I’ve officially launched my new boxing management company, @conlanboxingmanagement. With 26 years of experience in the game, I believe it’s the perfect moment for me to step out on my own and nurture the next wave of talent from Ireland and beyond.

"Our boutique management approach means we’ll focus on a select few of fighters, dedicating our efforts to help them unlock their full potential and achieve championship glory!

"Let’s make some history together!"

Conlan is currently training for his comeback fight which is expected in March. The featherweight star is due to return in England.

He hasn't fought since suffering a shock loss to Jordan Gill back in December 2023, and was close to calling time on his career.

But now he's back and preparing for his ring return.

He recently told Belfast Live: "March time will be the first one back. Get back to the ring and get back to fighting again. It will be eight to 10 rounds.

"The plan is to have four fights in 2025. It might be three, but the plan is four.

"It was a decision I came to terms with between December and March. When I was training for the marathon I was like 'f*** this s***'. I am not getting paid for this. I'd rather be back fighting because the running training was just as hard.

"But the running club actually really helped me get back to myself and get focused again on what I want. And understanding I still have the ability to do what I want to do."
