Middlesbrough loan round up as one good start continued with an assist and two debuts
Middlesbrough had three loan players in action over the weekend, with Sammy Silvera the standout as he helped rescue a late point for Blackpool for the second consecutive game.
Silvera came off the bench last weekend and scored his first goal for the Tangerines to inspire a comeback against Charlton from 2-0 down. On Saturday, Silvera found himself coming off the bench again, with Steve Bruce's side 1-0 down to Burton Albion thanks to a goal from ex-Boro academy striker Rumarn Burrell.
Silvera came on in the 68th minute and managed a key contribution in the fourth minute of stoppage time. His cross was headed home at the front post by Albie Morgan to earn Blackpool a draw and continue Silvera's positive start at his new club, after his difficult spell at Portsmouth in the first half of the season.

Elsewhere, Boro's two other loan stars in action were both debutants. Alex Gilbert made his first Charlton appearance after his deadline-day move to the Addicks. Gilbert came on for the final few minutes in a 2-0 win against Stevenage that sent Nathan Jones’ side back into the League One top six.
Gilbert will be hoping to eventually get more pitch time in South London though, with Jones’s previously stated stance on signing loan players a good sign for Boro and the 23-year-old forward.
Jones said: "We want to develop our own players. We have got good enough young players here and players here that we can develop our own assets - that's what I like doing. Unless someone is head and shoulders above us, I won't take a loan unless they will give us a real, real zest - a real quality. Very rarely one becomes available.”
Elsewhere, Hazeem Bakre was straight into the Darlington side after joining on loan on Friday evening, helping them to a 3-1 victory over Marine that left them just four points off the play-off places.
Speaking after the game, Steve Watson said: “We’ve not scored enough goals, and hopefully these two will provide more threat. Hazeem has got real pace and power, and hopefully Sam (Hetherington - Carlisle United loanee) can provide that little pass that decides games.”
Micah Hamilton was an unused sub as Stockport won 2-1 against Barnsley. Jack Hannah missed Queen of the South's 2-1 defeat at Stenhousemuir after picking up an ankle injury the previous weekend. Zach Hemming will be expected to be in action on Monday evening for St Mirren against Hearts having started all five games since his return to the Scottish Premiership club.
