Mikel Arteta makes emotional David Moyes admission for Arsenal in Premier League title hope
Mikel Arteta has admitted that his former coach David Moyes will be key to Arsenal's dreams of winning the Premier League.
Arteta faced the press ahead of Arsenal’s final Premier League match of the season against Everton at the Emirates Stadium on Sunday. The Spaniard knows that nothing other than a win over the Toffees and either a draw or defeat for Manchester City who host West Ham United.
"Obviously the hope is there and it didn't happen and now we have to do our job which is going to be tough because Everton are in a really good moment." He added: "We have to hope for West Ham to have a really good day for us to fulfil our dream."
Asked about David Moyes' potential influence on this game and whether he spoke to his former coach. However, whilst Arteta denied favours being asked for, he did lead with plenty of praise for the Hammers' outgoing manager.
"No, I don't think I need to do that," he said. "He's been instrumental in my career, not only as a footballer and as a person as well. He could help us to fulfil our dream and my dream to win the Premier League."
