Millwall injury latest as six players could miss Leeds United FA Cup clash
Leeds United will be busy looking ahead to their FA Cup tie against Millwall this weekend. Daniel Farke's team go into the game on the back of a 2-0 win over Coventry City in the Championship on Wednesday night. The win moved Leeds five points clear of second-placed Burnley at the top of the league standings.
Now, the attention will switch from league action to the jeopardy of knockout football when Leeds host Millwall at Elland Road in the FA Cup on Saturday. Farke has been forced to deal with several injury concerns this season, and it's been the same for the Lions.
Millwall boss Alex Neil provided an injury update on his squad earlier this week in the build-up to the clash against Leeds. Neil confirmed that Femi Azeez is now available after being sidelined with a fitness issue that he suffered in the FA Cup win over Dagenham & Redbridge last month.

Azeez is not the only player Millwall have had unavailable for selection. Liverpool loanee Calum Scanlon is recovering from a hamstring injury, while defender Danny McNamara had surgery on a knee injury last month. Ryan Leonard has been sidelined with a calf injury for the last couple of weeks, while Josh Coburn continues to recover from a broken metatarsal he suffered in December.
Neil did confirm that Aidomo Emakhu is closing in on a return from a groin injury, which has forced the forward to be on the sidelines since December. Club captain Shaun Hutchinson has played just one minute of Championship football since the end of November and continues to be unavailable for selection.
“Femi Azeez will train – and he is in full training now,” Neil told the South London Press. “Aidomo (Emakhu) is not far away. He will do part of the session and drop out. Ryan Leonard will be back at the end of March.
“Josh Coburn is back on the grass. He’s taking part in the first part of the session today (Thursday). We have a few bodies coming back. Hutch (Shaun Hutchinson) won’t be far away. I imagine he will start doing a little bit on the grass, but not with the team.”
