Bournemouth left-back Milos Kerkez has made a significant decision regarding his future ahead of the January transfer window amid reported interest from both Liverpool and Manchester United.

The 21-year-old Hungary international joined the Cherries from Arne Slot's former club, AZ Alkmaar, in the summer of 2023. Richard Hughes, who is Liverpool's current sporting director, was working as Bournemouth's technical director at the times of Kerkez's arrival last year, which has only contributed to the rumours surrounding the Reds' interest in the player.

Liverpool are one of a handful of Premier League clubs rumoured to be monitoring the defender's progress on the south coast. Bitter rivals Manchester United have also been linked and some reports suggest their interest may be more concrete.

That being said, Kerkez appears primed to move on from Bournemouth, whether that is in January or the summer. Andoni Iraola's side are enjoying a promising Premier League campaign so far with eight wins from their 19 games so far.

However, Kerkez has signed with a new agency ahead of 2025 and he is now part of Fali Ramadani’s Lian Sports. The management company also represent Liverpool forward Federico Chiesa, who joined the club from Serie A side Juventus back in the summer.

In a post shared on social media platform Instagram on Monday, the young defender was welcomed to the agency. It remains to be seen whether the change in representation prompts any movement regarding his future, but journalist Fabrizio Romano has suggested Kerkez is one to keep an eye on ahead of the transfer window.

Liverpool currently have Andy Robertson and Kostas Tsimikas battling it out for the left back shirt this season. However, fitness and form concerns have been present for both players, to varying degrees, at points this term, which has resulted in rumours the club could look to upgrade that position at some point in the next 12 months.
