Miron Muslic makes Plymouth Argyle position over Morgan Whittaker clear
Miron Muslic has declared that any club wanting to sign Morgan Whittaker from Plymouth Argyle will have to meet their valuation of the 24-year-old.
Burnley are one of two clubs to have made bids this month for Whittaker and they will also provide the opposition for the bottom-of-the-table Pilgrims at Home Park tomorrow night in a Sky-televised clash which will kick-off at the slightly later than usual time of 8pm.
The Clarets have renewed their interest in Whittaker after unsuccessful attempts to take him to Turf Moor towards the end of the 2024 summer transfer window. Middlesbrough have also made an offer for him but neither club is understood to have come close to meeting Argyle's valuation.

Muslic said during a Press conference at Home Park this afternoon: "I will not confirm any rumours but Morgan is offensively our best player, our strongest player, and he's a target (for other clubs) naturally in January.
"He's still an Argyle player, he's still under contract so for us he's available and selectable. He has a value as a player and if other clubs want to grab him and to take him I think they have to pay the price for this."
Given the speculation about Whittaker's future, Muslic was asked whether he thought the talented attacker was in the right frame of mind to play against Burnley. The Pilgrims' boss said: "That's part of our business and we have always to remain professional and to respect a contract.
"Until the other team is putting the money on the table that Argyle is demanding they are all our players and under contract. I think it's very important to stay professional all the time."
On whether he expected Whittaker to play against Burnley tomorrow, Muslic said: "Of course, he's under contract for us. He's selectable, he's playable. I will try to put the best possible line-up tomorrow and the players are really ready to give it all for green. This is where I start and the starting 11 will also look like this."
Little more than a week into his role as Argyle head coach, Muslic is preparing for a third home game in only nine days against the backdrop of the January transfer window and all the activity that is going on behind the scenes in terms of player recruitment.
Muslic said: "This is just part of our job and you have to deal with it. The good thing about January, February will come very soon and then the madness can stop.
"That's then the right time for us to stabilise. There we will have definitely the squad we are going to have available until the summer. That's where we can stabilise Argyle first, and if we can stabilise this project then we are competitive to grab and collect points."
