Miron Muslic: Plymouth Argyle need radical change in mentality and attitude
Miron Muslic has declared Plymouth Argyle need to make 'brave decisions' so the mentality and attitude can be changed inside the dressing room.
His comments, just three games after taking charge of the Pilgrims, are a clear indictment of the squad which he has taken charge of, and seems destined for relegation to League One. Argyle's miserable winless run in the Championship extended to 14 games after a humiliating 5-0 defeat by Burnley at Home Park last night, when all of the goals were scored in the first half.
The Green Army made their feelings abundantly clear, with loud boos at half-time and the final whistle, and there were chants of 'This is embarrassing' throughout the game.

Muslic has seen Argyle pick up only one point out of a possible nine since he was appointed, and even compared to some shocking displays earlier this season the defeat by Burnley - the first half in particular - was about as bad as it has been.
The head coach said: "A tough one for sure. I take the full responsibility for our performance and I take the full responsibility for the result. Very similar like against QPR (the 1-0 home defeat on Saturday), we just gave the first goal away on a silver plate for the opponent due to an individual mistake but okay, it's football, and it can happen.
"But the team gave up in this moment, not really the desire to fight until the end and you go in at half-time with a five goal difference, and you know the game is over. The game was over anyway after the third goal.
"The pressure was fully on us - the crowd was on us, the Green Army was on us, fully deserved - and it takes a lot of courage to get out the locker room and continue playing for another 45 minutes.
"I demanded this courage, not to change the result because that was simply impossible but if we can have this courage to face this harsh and tough reality that might help us for the next weeks and months.
"My message after the game towards the team was that we need a radical change inside the locker room. We need to change this mentality, this attitude. We need to bring players in who really want to fight for Argyle.
"That's the only chance we have. We have to be brave with this. And I will be brave with this. I will try my best possible to support this team, and to support this team we need to get another mentality and just another attitude inside. If we can manage to do this, and we have to do this, this is our only chance."
Muslic continued: "I think we need to be brave with these decisions because it's not about today. What happened today happened I think a couple of times this season already.
"It's written all over the last year and the only way to change this is to be very brave with taking all these decisions to change some positions, to refresh the team. There are still a lot of good, good guys inside over there (the changing room) with the right mindset and they need more support."
Muslic was appointed on the Friday night before Argyle's shock 1-0 Emirates FA Cup third round win away to Premier League club Brentford on January 11, when Kevin Nancekivell and Joe Edwards took temporary charge of the team for the third and final time after the departure of Wayne Rooney.
The performance against Burnley was about as far removed as could be imagined from that cup upset. "Brentford was also one game in six months, to be fair, and the first victory away in ages," said Muslic.
"The most important thing is to support the squad we have with reinforcements so we can then start being competitive and start to challenge, and that's the way."
Argyle are understood to have had an offer accepted by Dutch Eredivisie club Sparta Rotterdam for 24-year-old defender Mike Eerdhuijzen, while it has also been reported the Pilgrims have lodged a £750,000 bid for Notts County's Gambian striker Alassana Jatta, with the League Two side thought to be holding out for £1 million-plus.
Asked about the possibility of any new signings before the away game against Sunderland on Saturday, Muslic said: "The clock is ticking on this and we are trying. It's a work in progress and hopefully tomorrow we will have some positive news on transfers."
Muslic was also questioned after the thrashing by Burnley about on-loan Dutch under-21 international winger Ibrahim Cissoko not being used off the bench.
The Pilgrims' boss made his five permitted substitutes, three of them at half-time, but Cissoko was not called upon, with 16-year-old Tegan Finn sent on for Michael Baidoo in the closing stages.
Muslic said: "I don't think that was a game for Cissoko, a player with high individual quality. You are five-zero down, you go for something else then."
