Miron Muslic's ITV speech ahead of Plymouth Argyle vs Liverpool leaves viewers all saying the same thing
Plymouth Argyle head coach Miron Muslic appeared on ITV1 this afternoon, ahead of his team's FA Cup clash against Liverpool at Home Park - and viewers were all left praising the 42-year-old.
Muslic spoke about his background, the beauty of football and the challenge ahead. At the age of nine, he and his family had to leave their home town of Bihac in war-torn Bosnia, grabbing as many of their possessions as they could, and moved to Austria as refugees. His father then worked as a waiter, his mother as a cleaning lady so they could provide the best life possible for Muslic and his sister.
He was asked what part, as a refugee in Austria, did football play in his life. He said: "I think maybe the biggest part. It was just easy to connect. If you come to a foreign country, a different country, and don't speak the language, you don't understand, you don't understand the culture. Football helps you.

"It's universal, you go on the pitch, you go on the street, you just play football. There is no reference to your refugee status, about your last name, about the job of your father, it's the beauty of the game and it played a major part in my childhood and my youth."
Speaking of the challenge ahead, he added: "Today is the FA Cup, the most famous cup in the world. It's big, it's huge. By the way, we are playing against the best team in the world. It is everything to enjoy for us as a club, as an organisation, for the Green Army.
"I'll also try to enjoy this moment. It was a long, long way from escaping 1992 from Bihac Bosnia to here. I'm grateful for every step in between."
Pundit Robbie Fowler described Muslic as a 'real likeable fella'. "I want to play for him already," he said.
He's not the only one who has praise for the head coach. Marilyn Jeffrey, Posting on X, formerly known as Twitter, said: "Miron Muslic came across on TV as a lovely man. Football needs more managers like him."
TB10 said: "What a star." NFT Baron added: "Football: the universal translator for moves and vibes."
Bill said: "Just seen the interview with Plymouth manager Miron Muslic. What a story from fleeing Bosnia in 1992. Proper football man."
"What an impressive human Miron Muslic is," said Gill Godfrey.
The Real EFL added: "Listening to this and his backstory on ITV, Muslic is a really humble, likeable guy. Plymouth are on to a winner with him."
