'Mo Salah scores rugby try' video leaves 55 million viewers in awe
At the age of 35, Wales rugby league star Rhys Williams has represented eight club sides and played for his country 33 times. However, it's his likeness to Liverpool legend Mo Salah that made him famous.
Williams may be nearing the end of his professional career, but he'll be forever immortalised by this iconic footage from Super League Rugby.
Not only is his likeness to Salah on point, but the try itself is pretty amazing too. Williams is sporting long, curly hair in the clip, similar to how Salah used to have his hair prior to the Egyptian King's latest trim. He also has a beard similar to Salah's.

However, Williams doesn't just have one likeness to Salah. Catching the ball deep in his own half, the Flintshire man begins sprinting with speed similar to that of the Liverpool attacker's.
He turns on the afterburners to whip around the final man and cruise in for a quite remarkable score. Little did he know he'd just etched himself into internet rugby folklore.
The clip went viral on social media, earning over 55 million views. It has been revealed that he first started growing out his hair while with London Broncos, and was called 'Mo' by opposing player Blake Austin of Warrington Wolves. Like Salah, the Welsh flyer has lost the long hair, and is now sporting much shorter hair.
He posted a comparison picture in 2019, showing the resemblance between him and Salah. Check that out below.
Williams is actually a former teammate of current Wales rugby union winger Regan Grace. The latter moved over from rugby league in recent years, but spent time in the Wales set-up at international level whilst in the other code. They took part in the Rugby League Nines World Cup in 2019 together.
Last month, Swinton Lions confirmed the departure of Williams following their relegation. The Welsh player had been their co-captain in the previous season and scored 18 tries. He needs 15 more appearances to reach a career total of 350.
As well as his time at the top of English rugby league, with the likes of Warrington and the Broncos, Williams also spent time Down Under with Central Queensland Capras.
