Mohamed Salah achievement during Fulham draw flies under the radar amid Liverpool contract wait
Mohamed Salah doesn't like not winning soccer matches but the Liverpool forward will no doubt be aware that he reached yet another milestone in the 2-2 draw with Fulham at Anfield.
His goalscoring prowess is well-known but these days, Salah is much more of a rounded player. So far this season, only a handful of Premier League stars, including Bukayo Saka and Cole Palmer, have created more chances than the Egyptian has for their teammates.
And on Saturday, he set up the first equalizer for Liverpool against Fulham, teeing up Cody Gakpo's header at the far post. Providing his 29th goal contribution of the campaign to date, that moved Salah onto 100 assists in total for the Reds.

In addition to his 227 goals in all competitions, Salah now has 327 goal contributions in 372 appearances for Liverpool. While a potential new contract will be representative of what he offers here and in the future rather than what he has achieved in the past, Salah is showing no signs of slowing down.
"From day one, even when many of his teammates were absent, he trained hard and led by example," Arne Slot said of Salah recently. "It’s no surprise he’s performing so well.
"It is difficult for me to predict the future but the only thing I can expect or predict is that he is in a very good place, in a very good team that provides him with opportunities.
"And what makes him even more special is you thought in the first hour [against Newcastle] he was not playing his best game and then he comes up with assist, two goals, shot on the bar. His finish is so clinical… special player."
Liverpool.com says: There are not really any more ways you can say it: a new contract for Salah is simply a must. Often unfairly labeled a "selfish" player on the pitch, the fact he has laid on so many goals for his teammates (and it could have been even more with better finishing) should put an end to that line of thought.
