Mohamed Salah admitted he is learning Spanish — but said that does not mean he is currently thinking about moving there.

The Liverpool forward is out of contract at the end of the season, and any club in Europe would surely be interested in a player who is displaying the form Salah is currently in.

There has not been much speculation linking Salah with a move to La Liga, though, with most of the talk surrounding his future revolving around either staying at Liverpool or moving to Saudi Arabia.

In an interview with TNT Sports Mexico, Salah did little to fuel talk of a move to Spain, saying: “I’m just learning the language a little, and I can say things like ‘how are you?’ but that doesn’t mean I’m considering living in Spain.”

Salah also recently gave an interview to Sky Sports, in which he admitted that he and the club are far away from an agreement over a contract renewal at Anfield. It had been reported in December by various outlets that Salah was set to sign a two-year extension at Liverpool, but that is yet to happen.

"It's the last six months [of my time at Liverpool]," Salah said. "There is no progress there. We are far away from any progress. So, we just need to wait and see."

Salah has been in exceptional form this season, scoring 20 goals and registering 17 assists in 26 appearances for the Reds in all competitions.

The Egyptian said that he is being driven by a desire to play an integral role in Liverpool winning the league. "Honestly, the most important thing for me is to win the Premier League and be a big part of that," Salah said. "I don't want to be just like anyone and have a small part. I want to win it and I want people to say, 'he made the difference, he made the team win.' It's not easy at all."
