Mohamed Salah names the "only thing" on his mind amid Liverpool contract stand-off
Mohamed Salah said that he isn't motivated by individual accolades as he said his desire to win the Premier League is what is driving his incredible form.
Salah moved onto 17 goals and 13 assists in just 18 Premier League appearances this season during Sunday's 5-0 rout of West Ham.
Sky Sports' Patrick Davison put it to Salah after the match that he was on course for a 'Ballon d'Or season', and asked the 32-year-old whether he was driven by individual awards.

Salah responded: "The only thing in my mind is I want Liverpool to win the league and I want to be a part of that. That's the only thing i think about this season. I will do my best for the team to win the trophy, we're going in the right direction, but there are a few other teams trying to catch us and they're very good teams. We have to stay focused, humble, work hard and go again."

Meanwhile, there was a disappointing update on the contract front as Salah said that he and Liverpool are still far away from an agreement in negotiations over a contract renewal.
The Egyptian's current deal expires at the end of the season and he will be free to negotiate a pre-contract agreement with foreign clubs from January 1.
The Egyptian was asked whether he would be able to provide Liverpool fans with good news on his future any time soon but gave a response that most Reds supporters will probably be a little worried by.
"No, we're far away from that (giving some good news on his future)," Salah told Sky Sports. "I don't want to put something in the media and people start saying stuff, but nothing has moved and now we're focused on the team."
