Mohamed Salah has once again etched his name in Premier League history, solidifying his legacy as one of Liverpool’s greatest-ever players.

The Egyptian forward achieved another remarkable milestone in Liverpool’s victory against Tottenham, making him the first player to reach double figures for both goals and assists before Christmas in a Premier League season in the history of the competition with 15 goals and 11 assists.

However despite his incredible form this season so far, Salah insists that he didn't think about the record in the lead up to Spurs game where he scored two goals and got two assists.

When asked about the record on Sky Sports after the game, Salah said: "I didn't think about it before the game but I'm glad I have done it, something that makes me proud, I’ll keep working hard."

Salah also moved up to fourth place in Liverpool's all-time goalscorers' chart: "It’s great to achieve that at such a big club, but the most important thing is that we won the game. Wherever I am going to end my career I am happy about it."

Discussing their thrilling win, he remarked: "We were quite good up front but defensively we need to improve as a team. Conceding three goals is quite hard. It’s a good result, hopefully we just keep going."

On playing against this Spurs team, he added: "We expected that [a chaotic game], the way they play, they open the game, they enjoy their football, physically tough and mentally we always have to be in the game.

"They don't change much the way they play, it’s intense. City came here and struggled, other teams too. I’m happy we won because they play an intense game."

Liverpool.com says: Despite Salah being in such good form there is still so much uncertainty about his future. He's a vital part of this Liverpool team. However even though there has been no breakthrough in talks, he remains as professional as ever and still puts in incredible performances.
