Mohamed Salah Saudi transfer pressure increases as Sheikh puts Liverpool star in Al-Hilal shirt

The contract uncertainty that Mohamed Salah finds himself at the centre of has become more intense after mocked-up images of the Liverpool forward in an Al-Hilal shirt were released. This comes after reports that the Saudi Pro-League side are ready to put in an offer the for 'Egyptian King.' The current Saudi champions are looking for another high-profile player to replace Neymar.

Neymar signed one of the most lucrative contracts in football history that saw him earn a reported £177m per year. Unfortunately for the club, the Brazilian superstar spent one year out with an injury.

The 32-year-old's contract ends at the end of this season and according to Sky Sports, Al-Hilal are wanting Salah as their next big name. And online, the Liverpool forward has already been put in an Al-Hilal shirt.

Turki Alalshikh, Saudi Arabia's Chairman of General Entertainment Authority, shared an image on social media of Salah in the blue Al-Hilal shirt. The Facebook post has over 42,000 comments.

What may come as a surprise is that many of the comments were saying how they don't want Salah coming to Saudi. One person wrote: "I hope it doesn't happen. I hope he continues with Liverpool or moves to another big club in Europe."

However, some fans were definitely excited as another commented: "The best news I have ever heard in my life," whilst a second fan added: "This better not be a joke."

In the summer of 2023, Liverpool - under Jurgen Klopp - had rejected a whopping £150m offer from Al Ittihad. Fortunately for the Reds, Salah has continued to be arguably the best forward in the Premier League.
