Mohamed Salah has responded to Liverpool’s progression to the Carabao Cup final with what is now turning into somewhat of a tradition. The Reds came out as 4-0 winners over Tottenham at Anfield on Thursday night, booking their place at Wembley with a 4-1 aggregate win.

Cody Gakpo opened the scoring in the first half to draw Liverpool level on aggregate after a 1-0 defeat in the first leg. Second half goals from Salah, Dominik Szoboszlai and Virgil van Dijk put the game beyond doubt with the Reds dominating throughout.

The win means that Arne Slot will have the chance to pick up his first piece of silverware as Liverpool boss next month. The final at Wembley Stadium will see the Reds come up against Newcastle United, who booked their place in the final thanks to a 4-0 aggregate win over Arsenal.

After Liverpool booked their place at Wembley, Salah took to Instagram to share a dressing room selfie alongside Gakpo, Szoboszlai and Van Dijk - all four scorers on the night.

The forward has done the same after wins for the last few weeks. Following the 2-0 win over Bournemouth last weekend, Salah shared a selfie of just himself with his brace earning all three points.

The week before he shared a post-match picture featuring himself, Gakpo and Szoboszlai. All three were on the scoresheet in a 4-0 win over Ipswich Town.

Salah will be hoping to share another of the pictures when Liverpool return to action this weekend. The Reds take on the Championship’s bottom team Plymouth Argyle at Home Park in the FA Cup fourth round on Sunday (3pm kick-off).

They are then quickly back into Premier League action with the rearranged Merseyside derby against Everton at Goodison Park taking place on Wednesday, 12 February (7.30pm kick-off).

The original match was postponed due to storm Darragh back in December.
