Mohamed Salah can say what he wants - but Jurgen Klopp will have had him in his office Monday morning
When things are down, not going well, your star player falling out with your manager is the last thing you really want to see. People put two and two together and get five and six.
Tempers flare up, passion. Whatever was said, we don’t know. I’m sure they sat down on Monday morning in the manager’s office and had a chat. It’s water under the bridge.
It happened when I was a manager when something happened with a player. You just sort it out. I had disagreements with managers in the past too. Flare-ups when I was a player, but I was in the wrong and we made up, big-time. It just happens.

Tempers were high for whatever reason. Mo might have thought he should have been playing, but the manager is the manager. It’s his decision at the end of the day.
To be fair, none of the forwards have been really hitting the high notes, so it could have been any of them benched. We’re still not taking our chances and the manager has seen it the way it was and tried to change it.
I’ve seen the hoo-ha about what he’s said after the game, there being fire if he talks. But he didn’t speak so it’s all irrelevant. They’ve drawn the game and everyone’s disappointed.
Nothing was said after the game with him and the manager, maybe Jurgen’s thought he was a bit too temperamental at the time, and waited until the right moment on Monday morning as most managers do.
He was very angry at the time, and you’re allowed to say what you want.
People are just putting their own slant on it, whatever they want, but I’m sure it’s all been sorted out now. I’m sure they will have had clear the air talks because you can’t let things like that fester.
But it’s got nothing to do with anyone else. It’s Liverpool Football Club. It might come out in the future what it was about but it happens.
There had been talk about Mo’s future anyway. From a business point of view, can Liverpool allow Mo to stay another year and then go for free? You’ll have to ask the owners if they can afford to do that.
Or they’ll have to give him a new contract. That’s what it is, but can they afford to do that?
That’s always been the talk. This just heightens it. That’s what the media do. It’s what the press will look at and it’s why people are interested in it.
But they were talking about his future anyway, so the falling out will just drag it up more.
Only ourselves to blame for derby loss
The derby was unacceptable. The chances we missed, we squandered them, and they were again stupid goals to give away. They can be stopped, it’s as easy as that.
The Everton goals, we got caught out on set-pieces. We’ve let in a lot of goals from corners this season, a hell of a lot.
You’ve got to take responsibility. If you’ve been given a job and have got a certain space to mark, and someone is on his own, you’ve got to make a decision and take it into your own hands. Avert a goal. But we just seem to accept it.
Remember where we were
We have to remember where we were this time last year, we were struggling to get into Europe.
Nothing was going for us but then we had a good summer, a good transfer window, and we again became the team we know we are. And all of a sudden we found ourselves going for four trophies at one time.
We’ve ended up winning one and we’ve got Champions League football to look forward to next year.
Even though we were in a better place a month ago, it’s still positive compared to last year. From last year, it’s a step up and it’s important to remember that.
