Mohamed Salah's 'magic' assist sparks fierce debate among Liverpool fans
Mohamed Salah produced perhaps his most incredible piece of skill of the season to set up Cody Gakpo's goal at West Ham on Sunday, and Liverpool fans are still questioning whether he meant it or not.
The Egyptian King was played the ball just inside the right side of the box from Curtis Jones, before appearing to jink the ball from his right foot to his left. In doing so, he popped the ball through the legs of West Ham centre-back Konstantinos Mavropanos.
Salah then took another touch before playing through Gakpo, who slotted into a partially-empty net. Despite the assist seeming like another moment of brilliance from Liverpool's talisman, with Alan Smith describing it as "magic", not everyone was convinced he meant it.

Social media was filled with debate over the assist, with some suggesting Salah's move to nutmeg Mavropanos was simply a failed first touch. One fan wrote: "He fell over his own first touch," while another commented: "failed touch".
Some believed it was obvious that Salah had intended the touch, with one posting: "Best RW in the world right now no one even comes close." Another stated: "Best player in the world for a reason"
Speaking at half time, Jamie Redknapp said: "This bit of skill, I'm struggling whether he means it or he doesn't. Because it's Salah, I'm willing to give him the benefit of the doubt."
Izzy Christiansen, appearing alongside Redknapp on Sky Sports, said: "I'm not there with it. I give Mo Salah so much credit but I'm sitting in the camp of not thinking he means that. I think he intends to evade Mavropanos somehow with that touch but I don't think he means it in that way."
Redknapp concluded: "Ask him. Only he knows." Despite Redknapp's doubts, one Liverpool fan had the perfect reply, saying on X (formerly Twitter): "Redknapp not convinced Salah meant that for the 2nd goal. If you want to know what a player meant to do, watch their head, watch their eyes. Mo’s never left the ball - he 100% meant it." Another quipped: "Salah never gets any credit, he meant that skill."
Salah was at his brilliant best at the London Stadium, and fired Liverpool three goals up just before the half-time interval. The Egyptian cut in from the right flank and drilled the ball into the bottom right corner, a trademark for the left-footed wizard.
