Mohamed Salah's private texts with Jurgen Klopp sum up their new relationship
Mohamed Salah has confirmed he and Jurgen Klopp are on good terms after tensions appeared to fray between the pair at times last season.
The Egyptian has been in regular contact with the Reds' former manager during the opening months of the season, revealing that they have been exchanging text messages on an almost weekly basis.
Salah was asked about his relationship with Klopp during an interview with Sky Sports and said: "It (the relationship) is fine. We text from time to time, in the last three months we texted more than we texted in the last seven years, honestly.

"I'm not putting fire anywhere, I'm just saying in a nice way, we text every second game or something. He's fine, his family is fine, he texted me about my family and Christmas and stuff, so all good."

Salah and Klopp were involved in an infamous disagreement during a game between Liverpool and West Ham at the London Stadium towards the end of last season, as the pair argued on the side of the pitch after the Egyptian prepared to emerge as a second-half substitute.
The Egyptian was visibly disgruntled and took exception to something his manager said on the side of the pitch. Salah then refused to speak to the waiting media at full-time, warning: "There is going to be fire today, if I speak." A few days later, Klopp said: "There is no problem. We are absolutely fine."
Salah returned to the London Stadium for the first time since that incident last weekend, as he scored in a 5-0 win against the Hammers in the Reds' final match of 2024.
In a post-match interview with Sky, Salah revealed that Virgil van Dijk had jokingly brought the incident with Klopp up in the dressing room: “It was a funny thing because the guys before the game in the dressing room told me, ‘Oh, remember what happened here last year?’
“And the guys were laughing. Virgil started it! We had a bit of a laugh about that. We had not a nice moment here last year but I’m glad this one we had a better one.”
