Manchester United forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Amad had some choice words for each other in the aftermath of the club's first European away win of the season - leaving some Manchester Evening News readers in our comments section delighted to see "more aggro" in a "sulky" squad.

Matchwinner Hojlund and Amad bickered after United came from behind to win 2-1, over two separate counter attacks in added time where both failed to pass to each other. It was Hojlund's goals that secured the three points over Viktoria Plzen, pushing United up into the top eight of the new-look Europa League table, where teams will automatically go through to the round of 16 without a play-off round in between.

Manager Ruben Amorim said after the game: "I am happy that we win the game and still fight each other, that is a very good thing. When you win and you fight with your teammate because you want to score one more, for me it’s a very good day for us."

Readers are inclined to agree with new boss Amorim. Commenter RYAN says: “Absolutely brilliant to see the young lads having a go at each other after a victory, illustrates the mentality that has been missing for a long time at the club. Amad, Hojlund, Garnacho, Dalot, Mazroui, De Ligt, Yoro, Mainoo, Ugarte, Licha are the young core that Amorim can build around. Bring in guys like Obi Martin, Wheatley, Gore, and a few more from the academy and we could be on a clean slate.”

Reader RedIsRed writes: “Absolutely... A long time ago and at a much lower standard, we fought as much in winning as in defeat. It’s passion. Shame it’s so scarce around OT. Bring in more of it. Less sulky, more aggro. Crerand, Styles, Robson, Keane were nasty but they would not let anyone else have a go at their teammates.”

Skipper238 says: “Good to see players being critical of each other, to try and do better, and be successful. Amad and Hojlund are top performing, caring players that we need for our future success. We are building a small core of young players who will be our future heroes. We are identifying certain players who are not going to be part of our future. There will continue to be ups and downs for the rest of the season. Amorim will be much stronger and more able to resolve the issues by the end of the season."

There were still points to improve upon, in some peoples' eyes. Graceandy2 would prefer that the row never had to happen: "We should learn to pass the ball when someone is in a better position to score, and not be selfish."

Gianpuah says: "When United plays around our goal mouth, the players must be aware that any error and poor pass will result in conceding goals. That was what happened to Onana and De Ligt. There were players like Dalot and Licha who performed badly during the initial stages in the match, resulting to conceding a goal, as passing the ball around was too slow. United should not be passing too much around the goal."
