More details of Jürgen Klopp's last game emerge amid Liverpool plans and PGMOL decision
Liverpool won't be able to pack nine years' worth of emotion into one afternoon at Anfield. But everyone lucky enough to be in attendance will do their level best to give Jürgen Klopp the send-off he deserves.
No doubt many of the tributes will be spontaneous, like so many of the best moments in the Klopp era. He never planned to break his glasses, nor to charge onto the pitch when Divock Origi scored that most absurd of late goals. He probably never planned those iconic fist pumps either, at least not the first time.
But the club is also laying on some special tributes to acknowledge one of the all-time Liverpool greats — although PGMOL has made no such allowances, making an appointment that seems wryly fitting. Here's what we know to expect from Klopp's farewell so far.

A Jürgen Klopp tribute mosaic
According to This is Anfield, Liverpool is planning a massive mosaic tribute to Klopp. This is where giant images are created by getting supporters to hold up cards, which when combined turn entire stands into works of art.
While the Kop would be the most obvious place for it, it's thought that the tribute will extend beyond a single stand. The end result promises to be truly epic, even if those within Anfield might need to wait until they get home to see the full effect.
A framed collage of achievements and a possible FSG presence
The ECHO understands that Liverpool will continue its recent tradition of presenting a collage of achievements to those leaving Anfield at the end of the season. They might need to make it a bit bigger than usual for Klopp.
It's expected that CEO Billy Hogan will hand over the award to Klopp, although there has been speculation that other senior FSG figures could be present, including John Henry and Tom Werner. As part of the ceremony, Klopp is likely to be given the chance to address Anfield. He will also receive a guard of honor.
PGMOL appoints David Coote on VAR
This one won't have been in Liverpool's plans, but it has to be said that there's something funny about David Coote getting the VAR gig for Klopp's last game. Putting Paul Tierney in charge would have been the icing on the cake, given the manager's ongoing feud with him, but instead, it's Chris Kavanagh who gets the job in the middle.
As for Coote, he's outraged Klopp and Liverpool on a number of occasions, especially in a VAR capacity. He was the one who elected not to intervene when Martin Ødegaard handled the ball in the box.
With nothing on the line for Liverpool, Klopp can afford to laugh. But fourth official Anthony Backhouse might be wise not to count on the party atmosphere giving him a peaceful afternoon on the touchline, especially with the boss not having to worry about picking up a touchline suspension!
Liverpool.com says: The PGMOL could never conjure up anything to sour the atmosphere at Klopp's farewell. What happens on the pitch will be little more than a sideshow, although it would be nice if Liverpool could help the boss sign off with a win.
Even with all of the details emerging, it's impossible to imagine the scale of the tribute Klopp will receive until it actually happens. It promises to be a special afternoon at Anfield, and an emotional one.
