Morton ace challenges side to make the most of their momentum during busy spell
MORTON winger Nathan Shaw has challenged the Cappielow side to use momentum to carry them through a hectic fixture schedule.
Ton are about to embark on a busy period to see out February as they play catch up on fixtures called off at the beginning of 2025 and that'll see them play six games in little over two weeks.
They'll kick off with three home games against Airdrie, Hamilton and then Falkirk before travelling to Dunfermline and welcoming Ayr to bring in March.
But Shaw says that the nine Championship game unbeaten run, that Ton currently boast, can be what gets them through the tough period and challenging where he see's them being able too.
He told the Tele: "Going into the last two games, if you said we'd take four points away beforehand, we'd have taken it.
"But in the circumstances we're sat here thinking we should take six.
"We've just got to keep the momentum going, take it game by game, because there's obviously a lot coming up now.
"If we can carry on, then we're just going to push right up there.
"So much of football is about momentum, and we've got that right now.
"We've not been beaten in a while, so we've just got to keep it going."
