MORTON boss Dougie Imrie DOES want to add to his squad before the end of the January transfer window - but he admits he can only do that if the Cappielow top brass free up the funds to do so.

Ton are on the high of an eight game unbeaten run in the Championship, a run that stretches back to the beginning of November and fourth placed Partick are suddenly beginning to come back into the eyeline of the Cappielow side.

Reynolds' goal sparked a stunning Hampden comeback (Image: Gary Bradley) And Imrie revealed his stance on his January plans in the hope of keeping his side's momentum going off the back of last weekend's stunning comeback win over Queen's Park by adding some extra quality to his ranks if at all possible.

Ton have seen the likes of Austin Samuels and Alexander King leave the club so far this month and veteran midfielder Ali Crawford's contract runs out at the end of the month - and whilst Crawford's future is still to be determined, Imrie is still unsure if he'll be able to do any business in the final few days of the window.

He told the Tele: "I'm just delighted for the whole squad (coming back from behind against Queen's Park) because it could have been easy for everybody to write us off at half-time going 1-0 down.

"After, like it's been mentioned, we've not come back from a losing position for a while (18 months). So, the mentality's there.

"I know I've got a good group here in the building, but I would also like to add to the squad, if I can.

"But again, that's down to the other people. So we'll need to see what happens in the final few days of the window."

Shaw featured for 80 minutes (Image: Gary Bradley) Imrie though, was delighted for one player who featured against the Spiders as he looks to put his injury woes behind him.

Nathan Shaw featured for 80 minutes at Hampden and the Ton boss believes he'll only get better.

He added: "I'm delighted for Nathan Shaw though, off the back of the Queen's Park game .

"You know, that's another 80 minutes under his belt. He's been out for a long time, the kid.

"So, he's getting stronger with every passing game and he's getting fitter.
