Morton in the Community to host project open day this Friday
MORTON in the Community bosses are hosting an open day this week ahead of the beginning of their latest employability project.
Members of the public will be able to go into Cappielow this Friday, January 17, to find out all about the latest edition of the Off the Bench programme, in line with Scottish Government initiative Cashback for Communities.
The course runs three days a week for eight weeks with guest speakers, mentoring, a first aid coach as well as SFA coaching badges and a CV workshop.
The aim is to build self esteem and confidence, as well as developing skills including volunteering opportunities.
A Morton in the Community spokesperson said: "We are running an Off the Bench open day this Friday, January 17 from 10:30am-11:30am at Cappielow Park.
"This is an opportunity to ask any questions, see the area we will work from, meet the staff involved and find out more information about the eight-week project."
