MORTON WFC playmaker Isla Galvin says that her side's performance against Inverness will give them the confidence they need to go and beat Westdyke this weekend.

Ton sit seven points above the Aberdeenshire side and a win over their counterparts, whom they drew with on the road earlier this season, could see them move within a point of Forfar Symington in ninth place.

And 18-year-old Galvin, a classy operator in the middle of the park, says that Ton must take confidence in how they bettered a title chasing Caley last time around despite failing to come away with any points.

She told the Tele: "I think we started off quite slow. It took us a while to build into the game, but once we did, I think we were matching them all even better at times.

"I think it was a good performance from us, considering the score line last time was quite steep, so it shows that we've improved as a team.

"I think that performance will give us a lot of confidence into the game at the weekend, considering we competed quite well with them earlier on in the season.

"I'm sure this will help us, again, with the confidence to play better.

"We're on a push for points just now, trying to get as many as we can, and we definitely think this is a game that we should be taking three points from."
