Who has the most Super Bowl rings? Tom Brady, Bill Belichick lead individual winners
The 2025 Super Bowl will be the 59th edition of the NFL's annual title game. The Kansas City Chiefs and Green Bay Packers met in the first Super Bowl matchup on Jan. 15, 1967, and started a tradition that's become the biggest sporting event in the U.S. every year.
In the decades since that first contest, some teams have had more success than others in reaching and winning the Super Bowl. Each decade has seen one or two teams stand out among the rest in playoff success.
In the 1960s, the Packers won the first two Super Bowls after winning multiple NFL titles. In the 1970s, the Pittsburgh Steelers won four Super Bowl titles, and the Miami Dolphins won two as well. The San Francisco 49ers won four Super Bowls in the 1980s and the Dallas Cowboys won three in the 1990s.
59 greatest Super Bowl teams: Do 2023 champion Chiefs make list?
In the 2000s and 2010s, the New England Patriots were a fixture in the Super Bowl with six titles spread out over the two decades. The Chiefs are the team of the 2020s so far with two titles in the decade already and a chance at a third in Super Bowl 59.
Those have been the great teams in the big game but there have also been transcendent coaches and players. Here's who has the most Super Bowl rings as an individual (player or coach):

Who has the most Super Bowl rings in NFL history?
Quarterback Tom Brady holds the NFL record with seven Super Bowl rings as a player. Brady played 23 seasons in the NFL – 20 with the Patriots and three with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
He won six rings with the Patriots during their run of success in the 2000s and 2010s with wins in Super Bowls 36, 38, 39, 49, 51 and 53. He added a record seventh title in Super Bowl 55 with the Buccaneers.
He also made three additional Super Bowls – 42, 46 and 52 – but lost those. He holds the NFL record for postseason wins by a quarterback with 35, more than double the quarterback in second (Patrick Mahomes with 17).
Brady's coach for six of those Super Bowls, Bill Belichick, is second in NFL history in Super Bowl rings by an individual.
