How much does Andy Reid make? Contract details with Chiefs, salary, what to know
Head coach Andy Reid and the Kansas City Chiefs are back in the Super Bowl against a familiar foe and an opportunity to complete a three-peat.
It’s Reid and the team's fifth appearance in six years, which included a victory over the Philadelphia Eagles in 2023.
Reid spent the first 14 years of his head coaching career with the Eagles and produced a 130-93 overall record but was fired after a 4-12 record in 2012. He would take a job with the Chiefs for the following season.
He’s been with Kansas City for the past 12 years and has a contract that will keep him at the helm through 2029, unless he decides to retire before then.
Here’s what you need to know about Reid’s contract.

Andy Reid's contract details
Reid signed a contract with the Chiefs last April that made him the highest-paid NFL coach at the time.
The deal was worth $100 million over five years, according to Sportico.
"Over the last 11 years, Tammy and I have enjoyed calling Kansas City our home,” Reid said in a statement through the team. “The community has embraced us, we've watched our family grow, including having all 12 grandkids during our time here.”
Highest-paid NFL coaches
Reid’s contract is reportedly worth $20 million per year, which surpassed Bill Belichick before he parted ways with the New England Patriots after the 2023 season.
Belichick and quarterback Tom Brady were responsible for the Patriots’ successful run, including six Super Bowl victories.
Reid and quarterback Patrick Mahomes have shouldered the responsibility for the NFL’s latest dynasty.
Reid is one of three AFC West coaches who help make up the top of the league’s highest-paid coaches list.
