Much-loved member of Pembrokeshire sailing club dies
A popular sailor and member of Tenby Sailing Club has died.
The club announced the death of Stuart 'Captain Hook' Fecci with great sadness.
Mr Fecci was known for his willingness to help others and his friendly nature, which endeared him to long-time acquaintances and newcomers.
His love for the outdoors was evident, as he was often spotted enjoying the sea with friends.
A spokesperson for Tenby Sailing Club said: "We’ve lost our Captain Hook.
"Always with an amusing anecdote, he was good company for all.
"Fiercely patriotic, he really enjoyed match days and would stand for every Wales national anthem.
"We all shared many a laugh with Stu and will miss him dearly.
"Our love and best wishes go out to Sally-Anne, Samuel, Bethan, Edward, and all of his family during this difficult time."
The club has announced that the wake will take place at the sailing club on Thursday, January 30, in the afternoon.
In other club news, the new member's area, 'myclubhouse', is now available for members to access information regarding events, subscriptions, and renewals.
Members can log in to tenbysailingclub.myclubhouse.co.uk to renew their membership for 2025, with early renewals before January 31 benefitting from discounted rates.
The sailing club is currently closed for maintenance until Friday, January 17, but will resume Sunday lunch service on January 19.
The next 'brainstorming quiz' organised by Terry Evans is scheduled for February 1.
