Nabil Fekir: Agent talks Liverpool transfer and reveals star WAS pictured in shirt
Nabil Fekir’s dream move to Liverpool was close to completion, the French star’s agent revealed.
The Lyon forward was heavily mooted with a transfer to Merseyside before the 2018 World Cup in a saga that dragged on for months.
Rumours suggested Fekir had been snapped in a Liverpool shirt, with a move imminent, before the transfer broke down.
And his agent Jean-Pierre Bernès, with who the France international is no longer on speaking terms , has revealed just how close the move to Liverpool came.
“It is not about staying here," he told L'Equipe, as reported by GFFN.

"And we will know maybe the real circumstances that prevented Fekir’s move to Liverpool. The knee was a part of it, but not only that.
“He had passed a medical, done photos with the Reds shirt…”
Bernès, Fekir’s soon-to-be ex-agent, was talking to the French newspaper after the forward rejected an extension at Lyon.
The 25-year-old is expected to find new representation at the expiry of his deal with Bernès, which is said to expire mid-April.
But the agent is seeking to maintain his position until discussions with Lyon have come to a conclusion, with Bernès said to have a close relationship with the club’s president Jean-Michel Aulas.
