Patterson joined The Toffees from Rangers on a five-and-a-half-year deal in January 2022 for around £11.5m plus add-ons.

There had been speculation over a January loan move for the young right-back given his lack of game time at Goodison Park – with rumours circling that he could return to Ibrox amid Philippe Clement’s defensive injury crisis.
