Neal Maupay ends Luke Littler feud as darts mad striker delivers world champion tribute in celebration
Teen sensation Luke Littler has a new fan - and it is not the person you would expect it to be.
Everton loanee Neal Maupay has shown his respect for The Nuke and the sport of darts as his Marseille side pummelled Le Havre 5-1. The former Brentford got on the scoresheet and even threatened to reignite his old feud with Tottenham midfielder James Maddison after mimicking is darts throw celebration again.
Maupay's teammates even joined in on the act and at full time he admitted to being an avid fan of the sport. His celebration was in reference to the recent 2025 World Darts Championships where 17-year-old Luke Littler became the youngest Darts player to win the world title. Speaking to DAZN, he beamed: "Did I watch the whole thing? Of course I did! I like it in England, it’s part of the culture. You’ve got to watch it, there’s a great atmosphere."

His love of darts comes as somewhat of a surprise after the Frenchman got into a social media spat with Littler last March. Maupay was involved in a tussle with Scott McTominay during Brentford's with Manchester United - whom Littler supports. Maupay later posted a picture of the incident on Instagram with the caption: "This fan is desperate for my shirt."
Littler hit back in defence by posting on Instagram: "Talks more than he scores". Always desperate to have the last word, Maupay replied with a clip of Littler celebrating, writing "Talk about a big fish". It suggest he had reeled Littler in and making reference to Littler's renowned 170 checkouts - known in darts as 'the big fish'. Despite the spat they both share a love of the darts.
