Gerrard left the club to take over at Aston Villa but after winning just two out of his opening 12 games at Villa Park he departed the role in October 2022 just 11 months after his appointment.

At the end of last month though his 18-month spell in charge came to an end by mutual consent.
With Rangers' trailing Celtic by 13 points at the top of the table Gerrard has been linked with a sensation return to Ibrox to replace underfire boss Philippe Clement.
Former Celtic manager Lennon speaking to Mikkel Rasmussen at casino-uden-rofus.co, feels a return to Glasgow for Gerrard cannot be ruled out.
He said: "Steven Gerrard back to Rangers? You never know in football. You never know where the next project or next adventure will take you. You can never rule anything like that out.
"At the minute, Philippe Clement is steadying the ship with Rangers. He'll want to make progression and inroads into the rest of the season and obviously build for next year. But in the future, who knows."
