Neil Warnock's cheeky Leeds United and Burnley joke leaves Sky Sports studio in stitches
Neil Warnock stayed true his cheeky self after his boyhood club Sheffield United suffered a shock home defeat to relegation-threatened Hull City. The former Leeds United boss was on punditry duties for Sky Sports last night as the Blades squandered the chance to reclaim top spot.
New signing Matt Crooks gave the Tigers an early lead and substitute Matty Jacob struck in the second half before United's misery was completed by defender Harrison Burrows’ late own goal. Defeat for Chris Wilder's side kept them in second position, but handed the initiative in the race for automatic promotion to leaders Leeds and third-placed Burnley, who meet at Turf Moor on Monday. It was only the Blades' sixth loss of the season.
Warnock said: "Listen, they (Sheffield United) will be mad with it but in two days time they will be onto the next game. They’ll be happy won’t they Burnley and Leeds; they’ll probably agree to have a draw on Monday without playing!"

Warnock's quip left fellow pundit Curtis Davies laughing in the Sky Sports studio. Table-topping Leeds travel to Lancashire next week in good spirits following three straight home wins. You have to go back to November 30 for the last time Daniel Farke's outfit tasted defeat.
But Burnley are also on a long unbeaten run and boast the best defensive record in the division, conceding a miserly nine goals in 28 matches. Warnock said: "I will be watching it. Both managers have done really well. I love Dan James at Leeds. I love how he takes players on. I'm looking forward to it. It will be a cracking night."
