Newcastle United bank cash bonanza from new STACK as cup prize pots also unveiled
Newcastle United's profit-making machine is ticking over nicely at St James' Park thanks to a huge revenue revamp.
As reported by Chronicle Live earlier this month, the new STACK has been doing a roaring trade. Chronicle Live also understands that the STACK had clocked up profits of around £400,000 in the week leading up to Christmas alone with numbers over £1.5million potentially going into the coffers this month.
The new fan zone on Strawberry Place has been a rip-roaring success for Newcastle United with early profit figures giving massive encouragement for the future with a sold out New Year's Eve party also having the potential to land another £200,000 or more for one night alone. The 3,000 capacity venue has already banked £52,000 for ticket sales alone before a drink has been poured.

Commercial supremo Peter Silverstone and CEO Darren Eales will be looking to bank even more with the new Adidas club stores now open at the stadium and in the Metro Centre. But what else is up for grabs in 2025, here we look at the prize funds up for grabs on the field.
Carabao Cup prize money
It's a good job that ending the trophy quest is about love not money for Newcastle United!
As the quest for a trophy approaches its 56th year, winning the Carabao Cup will certainly end decades of hurt but the truth is, it won't boost the coffers the way many fans might think. True there are gate receipts, TV money, Wembley revenue and merchandise to factor in but this far from the UEFA cash windfalls on offer from the European competitions.
Beating Chelsea in the fourth round was worth just £15,000 in prize money to Newcastle, while the victory over Brentford landed £25,000. The cup run has been worth just £57,000 so far, but things do crank up after the semi-finals, with £25,000 on offer in the last four.
The final prize pot is just £100,000 but seeing a Newcastle captain lift the trophy is worth its weight in gold for supporters.
FA Cup prize money
If you could pick one of the domestic cups to lift, it would have to be the FA Cup.
United kick off what they hope will be a rewarding FA Cup run against Bromley on January 12. Simply getting past Andy Woodman's side will earn £115,000 from the competition that is sponsored by Emirates these days. Round four winners get £120,000 while the fifth round victors pick up £225,000.
Success in the quarter-finals is worth £450,000 per club while the semi-finalists can earn £1m for a win and £500,000 for a defeat, not to mention a Wembley pay day. The eventual winners get £2m plus a place in Europe and the losers earn £1m.
Champions League prize money
The Champions League truly is the only place to be for Newcastle later in 2025.
Qualification alone is worth £15.43m in the new Swiss style format and each win in the league phase brings in £1.74m while a draw is worth £334,000. The winners can expect £21m in prize money while even the runner-up next £16m with seven-figure prizes on offer once the league system is done.
Fees are lower in the Europa League, but eventual winners can earn £11m, while wins in the league stage are worth £379,201 each. What looks like a very winnable Europa Conference League, with Chelsea running away with things this season and going up against sides like Shamrock and Noah FC, is worth £5m in total.
