Newcastle United coach Jason Tindall told fate after red card against Aston Villa
Newcastle United assistant manager Jason Tindall will be back in action for the Magpies at Old Trafford tonight.
However, he will not be forced to spend the night in the stands and will be on the touchline as Newcastle face up to Manchester United. Chronicle Live has learned that there is no sanction for the coach in terms of a ban after his red card against Aston Villa on Boxing Day.
Tindall was sent to the stands in the 3-0 win over Villa after a half-time tunnel melee along with Villa analyst Victor Manas. But he will be back in his usual technical area position in the final Premier League game of the year for United at Man United.

It remains to be seen what action is taken from the FA over the 20-man skirmish in the tunnel. FA chiefs are yet to comment on the matter.
Speaking after the game, Eddie Howe offered an eyewitness account to what happened, saying: "I don't think it's far off [a mass melee]. These things always start, and there was no intention of it happening the way it did.
"It was probably 17 or 18 people trying to calm it down. But it looks like there are more people involved. Nobody wants to see that. It's not at all how I want my players or staff to be.
"But sometimes you have to stand up to what you think is right and protect each other. I am not 100% of that (what started it) because it goes over in a blur. I was right at the top of it, but I think it was frustrations spilling out from the first half."
