Newcastle United finalise signing of winger - with confirmation expected tomorrow
NEWCASTLE UNITED will formally complete the signing of Irish youngster Kyle Fitzgerald tomorrow.
The Magpies have already agreed the terms of the left winger’s switch from Irish side Galway United, but were unable to formally tie up the deal until Fitzgerald turned 18.
The teenager celebrates his 18th birthday tomorrow, at which point Newcastle will be able to complete his registration and sign professional terms.

A Republic of Ireland Under-19 international, Fitzgerald signed his first contract with Galway in 2022 after progressing through their youth ranks.
He made his senior debut in the Irish top-flight last year, with Newcastle stepping up their interest in securing his services shortly after.
Brighton and Wolves also held talks with Galway officials, but Fitzgerald opted for a move to Tyneside.
He will initially link up with Newcastle’s Under-21s squad, following in the footsteps of Alex Murphy, who also played in the Magpies’ youth ranks after moving from Galway United prior to heading out on loan earlier this month to join Bolton Wanderers.
