Newcastle United continued their fine form with a 3-0 win over Wolves on Wednesday.

An Alexander Isak brace and an Anthony Gordon goal were enough to secure all three points for the Magpies, with the Swedish striker having now scored in a club-record eight consecutive Premier League games. Eddie Howe's team have also won nine matches in succession across all competitions and have moved up to fourth in the top-flight table after 21 matches.

Newcastle have been further boosted at the news on Tuesday that top four rivals Manchester City, Nottingham Forest and Chelsea dropped points. City blew a 2-0 lead to draw 2-2 against Brentford, Forest drew 1-1 against Liverpool while the Blues drew 2-2 at home to Bournemouth.
